I recently contacted an Etsy seller about a custom stamp order. She hand carved them to my size specifications to fit on Rummikub tiles. I love them!
Glitter Gurl Creations created my new stamps and aren’t they fabulous!
I really like them. How about you?
I bought a new purse for fall on Etsy and I cannot tell you how much I love it! The style is the Birdie Sling by Amy Butler. This version was made by Jamie Lee Designs.
She was having a sale and the price was can’t be beat and it is even prettier in person than the pic does it justice (I borrowed her pic for the one to the left).
Go check out her shop, she has lots of other bags, the prices are crazy good and the quality is top notch.
I am not going to start the change over from the old bag to the new!
It is so pretty and so simple and sweet. it is just ticking fabric, a hobo style, sweet ruffles and lots of interior pockets and a key hook. What more could a girl ask for?
I found it in the Etsy shop of Raggy Baggs. She was nice enough to let me use on of her pictures to show it to you on the blog.
I love that it is so light and strong, too. I have already received compliments on it from a few ladies and I sent them back to the shop.
Check out her other designs and you, too, will all in love!
I received this lovely stamp custom order from Melissa at Studio Mo on Etsy in the mail today. She was awesome about this order and the whole process was very collaborative.
I wanted some house stamps to use on my Rummikub tiles to make pendants. I gave her the specs for the stamps no bigger than 1” by 1”. She let me review her sketches and to make tweeks to them before she carved them.
I received the beauties in the mail today and I just love them. I cannot wait to start playing with them. I have promised to give her props when I use them in my creations.
Have I not told you many, many times that Etsy sellers are the greatest? I spied the larger brother to this one in Robots Are Awesome’s Etsy shop. I contacted her to find out if she could make one smaller for a brooch. After a bit of back and forth, she was able to make it including its little pooch of arrows (my favorite part!).
Go check out the shop and her awesome creations. I love my little robot brooch!
(Pic graciously shared by the seller)
I love reading Jeanette’s blog! I have been privileged to participate in a swap with her, but not lucky enough to be her partner. I love her junking style.
When I saw these necklaces on her blog post with a link to her Etsy shop, I flew! I was able to score the necklace on the right with the black hair. YEAH!!!!! She is now mine, all mine!
(Pic borrowed from Jeanette’s blog)
If you have not been to Etsy, what are you waiting for? It is awesome!
I love brooches and I love birds, so when I spied this one in the shop of Red Stitch Lab, I had to have it. I contacted the seller as it had been sold and she graciously offered to make me another.
It arrived in the mail today and I just love it! I love the grey color, the lovely image, the sparse quality to it.
Go check out her shop, she makes the loveliest items.
P.S. I borrowed her pic of the brooch to do it the most justice!
I went to a craft show last week at the local library. There I met Barbara and her custom handmade and hand dyed creations. As I am known to do, I make adjustments and additions to purses when I make them.
I asked Barbara to add some pockets and to make this style in the patchwork. All of her creations are made from hemp fabric and she custom dyes the fabric to achieve the colors. As dyes are prone to do you end up with an original as no two colors are exactly the same.
This one is a bit brighter than the pic shows and there is some quilted detailing in some of the squares. I borrowed this pic from her Etsy shop.
Go and check out her creations! They are awesome and I cannot tell you how much I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this bag!
It was an awesome weekend last weekend! I had a craft show on Friday that was not really great saleswise. No worries as I hit some craft shows on Saturday that were pretty awesome. I spent a bit of dough.
This past weekend was the Bizarre Bazaar and for the last several trips there are less and less handmade vendors and more and more retail vendors. You also have to pay $6.50 to get in the door to look. The crowd is also a zoo and it is maddening to try to get around. So I decided to skip it this year and head to Williamsburg to the Art show at Trinkle Hall.
I knew that a couple of my bloggy inspiration buddies would be there so thought why not. As a bonus, I would hit Wythe Candies and get a peanut butter pretzel rod as a treat!
It was awesome to meet Suzy better know as Georgia Peachez and Beth of Elizabeth Holcombe ~ Whimsies and Words. I have loved their creations and loved reading their blogs. I have never met either in person, but we have run in the same circles on occasion. Suzy is a killer thrift shopper and Beth is an estate sale maven. Both of which you know that I love!
We had lots to talk about and even more to dish about. I also brought them a little giftie!
This is the lovely tote, that Suzy created that I purchased. She sells them in her Etsy shop. She prints vintage sewing patterns onto fabric to create the tote.
From Beth, I bought one of her Dime Store Chic brooches. I am having some coloring challenges with my pics. It is red with robin’s egg blue ribbon accents. She sells them in her Etsy shop.
It was a great day and I enjoyed meeting both Beth and Suzy in person! They were everything I thought they would be! Check out their blogs to see their cutie patootie booth for the carft show. It was lively and bright and certainly stood out among the other vendors.
I went shopping on Etsy the other day. I love Etsy and supporting other artists. I found this sweet Elf pendant in the shop of Art Play Today. She creates jewelry using her own images. I was honored to be her first sale on Etsy!
And her 2nd sale, too!
Go check out her shop. The elf in the picture is so great. Just the thing to sport for the holidays!
