There is a new blog on the blogosphere.   I had mentioned the Prpldy previously and had met her through a swap-bot Dotee doll swap.  There is nothing BrendaLea cannot make and her creativity overwhelms me.  She has started a new blog to document her craftiness.  She is new to the bloggy world and just starting to dip her toe in.  Stop over at Purple Lady’s Art and Life and see what she is making.  And do me a favor and leave a comment on her Pay it Forward post.  You WANT to receive one of her creations!

Since I commented on the post here is my PIF challenge to reciprocate her generosity.

I will send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment on this post requesting to join this Pay It Forward exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow, or next week, but you will receive it within 90 days, that is my promise! The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog. So basically, if you comment and you’re on, I’ll send you something crafty that I’ll make!

Once you sign up, copy and pastethe above paragraph on your blog, and three other lucky people will be recipients of your handmade work.  Sounds like a lot of fun!

There has been a lot going on here at Craftyville.  First, let me show you my mail.

From the giveaway I won at The Sky is Pink Lera sent me a handmade pouch, some bakers twine and some chocolate mint soap that she made.  Good thing she put the disclaimer on the label or I might have taken a bite.  It smells heavenly and makes me what candy every time I open it.

Thanks, Lera, I love it!

Next up in the mail are a couple of Etsy purchases.  First, from the Merchant of Kismet are these sweet coffee pot buttons.  I first saw them on Lupin’s Bugs and Fishes and had to have some.  Not sure what I will do with them, but they were too cute to pass up!  Maybe on the cup cozies?  Hmmmmm….

From Heidi at Everyday Cookies the sweetest felty heart brooch for Valentine’s day.  I love the way she packages her items using her papercraft skills.  I also love the paper heart she included in my package.  Heidi has a blog and we seem to have a mutual admiration society going on.

Thanks, Heidi!  Fabulous as always!

Lastly, I want to thank everyone that shopped, posted, commented, read, passed the word and viewed the Virtual Thrift Post.  It was a lot of fun to see all the goodies, a lot of work to post it all, but a labor of love for my favorite past time!

So give yourselves a “high five” and hit the craft rooms!

Yesterday, I had to deliver the bag I made for Louise after I made it a bit smaller for her.  As I passed the Goodwill it seemed to call me to “come on in, the bargains are fine!”  Imagine my delight and the little dance I did (have you seen Elaine’s?  Mine is similar!) when I found this…

I got this lovely for $8.99!  It is the mustard and barkcloth on one side and the patchy squares on the other.  Oh what a find!

Thanks again and have a great day!
