Here are the pictures of my thrifty haul from here in central Virginia:

I was truly blessed by the thrifty gods this week. Look at this haul!

The picture does not do it justice. It is in pristine condition! I was surprised that it said rug as it is more of a blanket weight.

The German book has German text. This will make some great backgrounds for collages. Can anyone help me with the title? The Betty Crocker cookbook has the sweetest vintage images. Some little child took a pencil to it in typical little kid fashion so I spent a bit on Saturday with the eraser removing it all.

I love the images in this book. It is amazing to me how similar all of the images from this time frame look to one another. The book is from 1965.

Isn’t that the best image? I love it! Not sure what it will become, but it won’t be used as drapes!

The South Pacific book is a commemorative one on the making of the movie. There is set direction indicated, the costume drawings, and the bios of the various parties. The Art Buchwald book is one I have wanted to read ever since Sunday Morning profiled it on their show months ago. Leave it to Art to make being in hospice waiting to die humorous.

I have a tote in mind for the Mexican one.
