Yesterday was spent making these.

Pins:

They are really easy to make and I used images from vintage children’s books I thrifted. I used the satin mod podge this time. It makes them very glossy. I am still perfecting the text on the back so I put images on both sides. The words on the text tend to bleed a bit and I am trying to figure out how to stop that before I resume with the quotes.
The pins are made using some wood shapes (feels like balsam wood) I found at the craft store. I was trying to find ovals, but found some multi-shape packs instead. I also cut out some of the words in the books to go with the images. The words I used on the bicycle pin I found in my local paper in the police blotter about a stolen bicycle, “got on his bicycle and rode away.” A hot glued pin back and whala!
Also, the mail yesterday contained a surprise from Zizzy. She sent me 4 hand dyed fat quarters in shades of green and some lace. I needed some more green for my Christmas crafting and lace is always lovely!

Thanks, Zizzy! I love it. Your Pay It Forward reciprocity will be on its way soon!
It is raining lightly here this morning. It was nice to see that the clouds today yielded some rain instead of just clouds. We need the rain desperately. Thanks again, God!
Here’s hoping your week isn’t a drip!

These pins and pendants you’ve made are darling! I love the vintage children’s images! AND>>>>
Thank you so much for the delightful surprize I received in the mail yesterday! I *love* the domino pendant! It’s awesome! And it’s set on such a cute tag, too! I loved seeing how you made these! I will wear it on a necklace for sure! I proudly showed my husband what you made for me and he said, “now, that’s really cool”, which, by the way, is his highest compliment! Thank you so much! You made my Monday a good one!
